You are invited to participate in the 2008 WTAMU Homecoming Classic to be held Friday, October 3, 2008 at Amarillo’s Ross Rogers Golf Complex. The four-person scramble, sponsored by ARAMARK food service, will begin with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.

The field will be limited to the first 240 players to submit entry forms and payment. A meal will be provided at the conclusion of the classic, and each participant will receive a golf shirt, plus other player gifts. Team handicaps of 43 or greater are required, with only one person per team with a handicap of nine or less. Individuals who wish to play but who don’t have a team will be placed on one.

Teams will be divided into six flights by a blind draw. Flight winners will be determined based on gross score for the entire round. Teams will play 9 holes on the Old Course and 9 holes on the Wild Horse Course.

Check-in begins at 8 a.m., and five names will be drawn from those registered by 9:15 a.m. to compete in a special one-shot-each putting contest. A $2,500 cash prize will go to the first golfer to sink a 50-foot putt on the first and only round of the contest.

To add more excitement to the classic, all three-par holes have prizes for hole-in-ones with two of the three-pars awarding $10,000 for hole-in-ones.
