What Can I Do With My Major?

This is a common question with lots of good answers. No matter what your major, there are options. Make an appointment with a career counselor to help guide you in making that decision.

About us

Senior START -
Students Taking All the Right Turns

A one-day event designed to jump-start your job search. Sessions offered include workshops on interviewing, developing a résumé, and conducting an effective job search. A panel of local human resource executives (Jim Parrish from the City of Amarillo, Connie Olson from Pantex and Charles Morgan from Beef Products, Inc.) will discuss the hiring process from their perspective AND the first lady of WTAMU, Mrs. Natrelle Long, offers tips on dining and networking etiquette during lunch. Finally, you will have the opportunity to actually write your résumé in the optional résumé clinic and participate in a mock interview with real recruiters from area companies such as Pantex, Boys Ranch, Amarillo National Bank, ASARCO, JMW Associates, the City of Amarillo, Beef Products Inc and the Amarillo Independent School District. All this activity and information is just $10 for those already registered with our office (i.e., YOU) and $15 for all other interested students.

You don’t have to be graduating in May 2004 to attend, this is valuable information for anyone within a year of graduation. Participation is limited to the first 35 paid registrations.

Registration forms are available from our office and must be returned with your payment to guarantee a spot. Registration will close at 5:00 PM Wednesday, February 18th or when enrollment has reached 35 paid participants, whichever comes first.
