Making the Job Fair Work for You

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY - ALL daytime in-person workshops will begin
promptly  at 11:30 AM and last for approximately 1 hour. The Monday
evening workshop will continue to be from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
 


 

Resume Workshops

Our workshops assist you in developing a resume from scratch or polishing the one you currently have. This workshop is strongly recommended for ALL students as they begin the job search process and is required for all students interested in the internship program.

  • Every Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. 
  • The first and third Monday of every month from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.Online Resume Workshop

Workshop Policy Regarding Late Arrivals

In order to provide the best possible service to our students, it is our policy not to admit anyone to a workshop once it has begun. There are no exceptions to this policy. Please arrive early!

Resume Critiques

Every Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Advisors are available for 15-minute sessions to individually help you with your resume. No appointment is necessary.

Critiquing is done in the Office of Career & Counseling Services, Virgil Henson Activities Center, Suite 210.

Internship Orientation

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 17, 2008, Internship Orientation workshops will be from 11:30am -12:30pm in the Career & Counseling Services office, VHAC 210.

Internship orientations are designed to explain what internships are, help answer your questions, discuss the required steps to get involved, and assist you in filling out the appropriate paperwork.

Every Thursday from 11:30am to 12:30pm

If you can't make it to an in-person workshop, you can access our online workshop.  Make sure your speakers are turned on.  After you have reviewed the information, complete the form at the end of the workshop and then call and make an appointment with our Experiential Education staff to answer any questions.


Internship Professional Development Workshop

This workshop helps you develop interviewing skills, learn what employers expect, and answers your co-op / internship questions. It is required for all students interested in the co-op / internship program.

How to make the Job Fair Work for You

This workshop offers tips on how to prepare for any job fair but specifically for the EXPOs hosted by our office. View this presentation and brush up on how to prepare for the job fair, what to expect at the EXPO and how to follow up on leads from the fair. This workshop will help you get the most out of any career or job fair!
